Almost Perfect!: Ladies

UPDATE 11/06/19: I have purchased this bag in other colors and have had mixed feelings. The dark gray bag arrived without a single extra thread. It has a subtle metallic sheen; The only downside is that it's also more slippery and slips off your shoulder. Also, the set lacked a second, longer strap, like the Mauve bag. I'm keeping it because I like the way it looks and the quality was great. After such a positive experience, I decided to buy three more bags at once: Tan, Khaki and Black. Of the three pockets, only Khaki had a second, longer strap. However, all three bags were of very poor quality; Threads were sticking out everywhere, and two of the three were crumpled at the bottom and sides, causing the side straps to stick out and not bend back. Also, the khaki color made the bag very cheap. I returned all three and decided that I would love to add these purple and charcoal gray bags to my collection. I will keep searching for my "perfect" bag if/when I get bored of my "almost perfect" bag. Pocket. This bag is definitely the closest thing I've found. It has a simple style, the size is perfect for everyday, it's very light, the texture of the material is beautiful and I love how it sits on my large frame. The color I chose, lilac, I think is great for any time of the year; this is a slightly darker blush with a lilac and brown undertone - I need a lipstick in that color :). The pink hue becomes even more apparent in dim or yellowish light. The bag is a great bonus and big enough to use as a handbag. I also like the striped lining of both the bag and pouch. I don't usually like center dividers in my bags, but my wallet organizer fits one side perfectly. I also have to admit I found the separate compartment useful over the weekend for tossing my phone, receipts and loose change to keep them separate from everything else and therefore helped to keep my side of the organizer clutter free. I have a few cons to share: 1. The bag has an odor. As someone who has bought many faux leather bags in my life, I'm used to it. I trust it will wear out over time and to its credit it's nowhere near as smelly as some of the other bags I've bought. I had to burn quite a few loose strands from sewing.3. The quality of the accessories on the shoulder strap is quite cheap. I don't plan on using it, so I hid it, but if it were something I absolutely had to rely on, it could be a deal breaker for me.4. The outer pockets are a bit small. What I would like in future versions: 1. Better fittings. I like the light gold color of the current hardware, but I also wish gunmetal and silver options were offered. 2. Deeper pockets on the front and back of the bag.3. Even MORE color options like Olive, Red, Pink and Purple.4. More big versions. The current height and depth are already perfect, but I wouldn't mind seeing this bag even wider (16-22 inches at the bottom). The bag currently measures 16.5" top, 14" bottom, 13.25" bottom from the bottom of the bag to the top center point of the bag and 6.5 inches deep front to back at the bottom. The middle part of the Bag is as curved as possible, strap length reaches 15" - very generous! Overall, I have no regrets. My current dilemma is deciding what other color(s) to go with when this bag goes on sale It's hard to decide because I think the mauve I choose goes with absolutely everything anyway.
