Would definitely recommend this blanket but with one small caveat. Maybe I missed it in some detail somewhere, but when I first saw this blanket I almost sent it back without even taking it out of the box - for just one reason. I thought the quilt would have a square "waffle" print - it is, but there are squares in the pattern with threads sticking out of them. I believe this will make the quilt prone to snagging if something gets caught on the exposed threads. It's hard to describe, so I've attached a picture. I was able to slip a lollipop between the blanket and exposed threads to help you navigate. However, I'm glad my husband pulled the blanket anyway. I found it very soft and comfortable. When unfolded, the blanket is light, but half-folded, it is the ideal weight (not too light and not too heavy). Throwing it on the couch (yes, without washing it yet) I dug under it and warmed up almost immediately. It will be lovely to bury yourself in after it comes out of the dryer. it means i can steal it from the cat! Glad I bought 2! :D
