Eczema is not just eczema

As I got older I developed a sensitivity that led to eczema and sunscreen might be the culprit. For this reason, I prefer "baby" sunscreens that use minerals, primarily zinc oxide, to block the sun's rays. I also like that these sunscreens don't harm the reefs. However, this eczema sunscreen is not suitable for my skin as it contains silicone in the form of dimethicone, the compound that actually causes my eczema. It works well on areas of my skin that aren't as sensitive, so as long as I'm using it on tougher skin I'm fine and it's working well. If you use this on your child, watch out for possible skin reactions. Just because a product says it can treat eczema doesn't mean it applies to a specific person. The hose is small and suitable for travel. The sunscreen lightens the skin a bit because of the zinc oxide, but it absorbs quite well, much better than the zinc oxide from my childhood.
