I'm sure it will be an acceptable strap, but the pin is bent so it doesn't reach the buckle frame, so the strap won't snap. I didn't try to straighten it for fear I might break it and then not return it. It's a very soft leather with a nice heavy buckle. But if you go to the brown side, you lose the brand logo and are left with screw holes, a white label, and a belt size. Not a very neat look.
