The correct size of this hat is more in line with a 2-4 year old. Cute knitted hat for children. Not super soft, but not too scratchy either. Just average. It seemed to be holding up well. My 7 year olds have medium sized heads and don't even cover their ears. Also, the top is at the back of the head, so from the front it looks like a regular red and white knit hat. I am very disappointed that I have to return them as they are very cute. They fit the 2 (almost 3) year old I tried them on and they were neat and fit perfectly.
