Get what you pay for

So I took a chance with this purchase and overall I would say it was worth it but there are caveats. Pros: The product really works and is packaged very well and even comes with extra screws if you need them. Installation is fairly easy and comes with really good instructions. Gives a lot of movement. The processing quality of the materials is pleasant. and comes with Allen key holders that can be placed on a stand. Cons: If you don't have a lot of space at the back of your desk, you're really limited by the height of your monitors. Because it only flexes at one joint, unless you have a good 12-18 inches (36-54 cm) of space between the wall and your desk, you can't adjust the height without completely re-centering your monitor fully extended or fully twisted. The rotation, tilt and gas Allen keys on my part are defective, which makes them easy to lose when moving monitors, especially when adjusting the pivot. If I wish I had a mounting system that would make it easier for me to set up my monitors for certain activities, I think it's really stupid to have a device that punishes you the more you move it. Luckily, if you just tighten the pivot with each movement, you won't accidentally hit the monitor anywhere, but I still wouldn't bring the monitors too close because you could easily hit another monitor. The stand and base will unscrew if you pull your monitor back and forth too many times so you'll have to take the whole thing apart to tighten it back up, but luckily it's very easy to take apart so it only takes 5-10 minutes. Not the best option for the price, but not ideal either. The tilting and horizontal tightening screws are ridiculously bad. It only has two modes, so flimsy it's constantly sagging or so damn tight you risk damaging the monitor's outer shell. DO NOT USE THIS MOUNT FOR CHEAP MONITORS, you will break/crack the outer shell when trying to correct the tilt. All and everything at a price you pretty much get for what you pay for. I know I rated it a 2/5 but it's not such a bad product. If it had all of these flaws but the tilt worked properly for people with cheaper plastic body monitors it would be an easy 3/5 but for that reason alone I can't recommend this product for people with cheaper monitors, I can't in good faith sense of the word. Believe me it's average. If you have a cheaper monitor I would recommend spending about $40 more on a premium product and end up saving for a more expensive monitor and if you are going for a great monitor I would say this product decent enough is budget choice. This is of course closer to 3/5 than 1/5.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Not as good as it says
