These chairs are very compact and portable. I can use this stool when camping, hiking, parading or anytime I need a place to rest. Despite being lightweight and made mostly of plastic, the chair is surprisingly strong and stable. We used it up a steep road to see fireworks and it worked great. It stays in my car so I have room for every occasion. This tool doesn't need to be fully extended either, I've found that I can rotate and adjust to size and then snap and snap and still sit or stand on it. It's also great for getting onto the roof of the car to tighten pannier straps rather than trying to stand on the car's tires.
