UPDATE 6 MONTHS! 04/01/2021Having this rosary and using it daily, as well as putting it in my pocket, purse or just in my hands to hold it, I have a feeling that these rosaries will not stand the test of time. One copy is still available. Chain links now tend to twist. The patina on the cross and center medal has lost much of its luster and the gold color is fading from higher points and only getting worse. The chain has completely lost its gold color and the caps of the Our Father beads are also losing their gold color. The Our Father beads are peeling off the green color and have white wear marks where the color used to be. Hail Mary beads look pretty good but have lost their luster but are good enough to be reused if you want to use them in a different jewelry situation. I have downgraded my star rating to 3 stars. If you buy these rosaries, they are only really good for keeping on the shelf as props in the Bible. New, beautiful but not suitable for everyday use as it quickly starts to deteriorate. My next rosary will be of good quality. These are beautiful pearls! i love color I have included detailed photos to try to show the beauty of these jade beads. They're surprisingly smooth, not diamond-shaped (or faceted) like some I don't prefer. Pearl sizes are best known for large green peas and small green peas. I'm guessing the "Ave Mary" beads are translucent glass, but the other 6 beads, including the mystery beads, are most likely colored plastic. I hope the color doesn't wash off. It may not be the perfect rosary, but it is exactly what I need. Some people like heavier rosaries, but I prefer lighter ones. It meets my needs without feeling cheap. There are tricks on the back of the cross and emblem of Mary. Feels strong in hand. I am happy with my purchase and for the price I can only recommend it. I have also attached a photo in the sunlight.
