A measure of the quality of a product is the quality of the customer service. Phil&teds has exceptional customer service! We bought an original Metoo portable high chair many years ago and used it as the main high chair for our older children. They could stay there until they were ready to take an extra seat at the table. We liked it so much it became our favorite gift for all our friends who had kids. When we had our third child last year we couldn't wait to break the Metoo high chair. During the cleaning and preparation I searched the internet for information about the chair as we haven't used it for several years. I knew about the updated Lobster but we stayed true to the original. I found out the chair was recalled in 2011. Although we have NEVER had a problem with our chair, I emailed phil&teds to request a repair kit that was designed to make the chair safe again. This is where exceptional customer service comes in. Shannon contacted me immediately and the repair kit arrived at my house within a few days. The set instructions were very clear and this seems to have improved the stability of the chair. Unfortunately I couldn't complete the update due to a broken screw. I emailed Shannon again asking for advice on what to do and she emailed me again. She instructed me to submit a claim on their website (very easy) and they will send me a new chair. I felt like I was really valued as a customer! Because of this excellent customer service, I wanted to write this review. While looking for a security fix for the original chair, I chose the Lobster chair so I can provide feedback on that as well. Although these chairs are very easy to move from one place to another as it is our main high chair we like to have 2 so one can stand behind the breakfast counter and the other at the dining table. Lobster is an improvement on the original chair in every way. The chair pocket is deeper and the back of the chair is less deep, so the child is more closed and protected. Clamp pull handles are stronger and easier to use. I also like that it comes with a bag. Like its predecessor, I can say that Lobster will be our favorite product for years to come.
