Most modern laptop cases are fully padded, offering little to no protection for your laptop. However, it has hard edges and soft canvas on the front and back, which isn't exactly what I wanted from this bag, but it's better than no protection at all. When I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend I was hoping for trendier colors rather than a matte black laptop bag, but if you want one of these, good luck finding one that's not entirely boring. In short, it's all features, not style. As long as he does his job, I'm happy.
