I was very happy about this because I have a lot of cherry tomatoes. Wow what a LOSER! I've been cooking for over 50 years so I'm not a novice cook. I've tried this many times and it's impossible to get a straight cut. Good luck if your tomatoes aren't all the same size. In most cases, one side was very small and the other very large. You must also have a VERY sharp knife. This is a complete waste of money! Do not worry. They are quicker to cut with your hands. It's too expensive too! Just so you know this is the first negative review I have ever written and I buy everything from Revain. Since 2011 I have been the main person responsible. It's better to use a disposable plastic lid, say the size of a whip, place the tomatoes on the counter, press the lid down, and slice across. Again, make sure you have a very sharp knife! Worst product I have ever bought from Revain. I will say that it is very well built. Definitely hard mode. But what's the point if it doesn't work as promised! Do not buy!
