This heated towel rail does exactly what it's supposed to! It warms your towels so you can wrap yourself in warm towels and dry off when you and your husband get out of the shower! This heater will hold 3 medium towels or 2 large beach towels. It also fits on the lap of a blanket! A red light will flash to let you know the surface has been hit and then you'll know it's ready. You can turn it on just before showering, otherwise the heating pad will turn off automatically if left on for too long. This is very user friendly. I gave one to my daughter and then regretted not keeping it for myself. I bought this and I love the handle that opens it: the surface is hot but the handle is very safe to use. Do not put wet towels inside! Seems obvious, but it can really hurt someone. I love hot showers, but getting out can be tricky when the air temp is very different from the water temp. So warm towels after showering or bathing are really very useful! This heater works very well!
