I normally use cotton pads for my toner but wanted to try these sponges as they are reusable and offer a gentle exfoliation. I don't use harsh scrubs if I have sensitive skin. These sponges have the gentlest exfoliation. I don't press hard at all, but if you did you could probably achieve medium peeling. Since I mainly use them to apply toner, I just spray the toner onto the pad and then gently wipe over my face and neck. When I use a sponge to clean, I wet it first and then add detergent. As soon as water is added to it, it expands and becomes very soft, absorbent and fluffy. I reuse each sponge for a week and then throw it away. The 50-piece set is paper thin, making it easy to store or take with you on the go.
