They work better than anything I've tried.

I've had several of these under different brand names over the years. Some downstairs neighbors were heavy smokers. The current roommate smokes weed and never opens her apartment, and my wife had a gastric bypass a few years ago and destroys bathrooms. I couldn't coexist with her without something really effective. After years of using traditional carbon filter cleaners, OTC products like candles, sprays and deodorants, and other types of ionizers, this is by far the best. We even take it on vacation because all too often big hotels don't have enough ventilation for their bathroom problems. They have a finite lifespan, which is okay since they're not $70 a piece like they used to be. If you open one of these you will only see a small fan of the same type used in the electronics, as well as an exposed circuit board/power supply and a corona needle mounted on the circuit board. This circuit is fully exposed to everything that goes through it, including moisture. You need to clean them, which I've found is best limited to sucking air in through the vent on the back and blowing it out through the front. Don't touch the needle as some online instructions say. But one of mine is still working after over four years. They seem to work continuously for a couple of years, then the fan gradually fails. I think it's actually better to have them running all the time than having them cycle on and off frequently which causes that little fan to spin up and down and wear it out. They make your space smell like a swimming pool. Ozone is actually harmful to health. That's three molecules of oxygen. O2 binds to a third oxygen molecule when electrified by the thing, but that third easily detaches and binds to dirt molecules in the air, altering its chemistry. But what it does on the outside also happens in our lungsโ€”oxidation causes corrosion. Contrary to what manufacturers claim, ozone generators are never recommended by the EPA. But they have an adjustment knob up or down so you can adjust it as you like. If you have trouble breathing, they may not be for you. Luckily I've never had them and I haven't recommended them to anyone, but there are a lot of them. I personally prefer the smell of chlorine to farts. They work. They are so effective and they remove odors so well. I know people who have used them in office closets too close to the work area. You save the day.
