Disclaimer: I decided to use them in their entirety instead of my current brushes to see them in their entirety. Obviously not all of them are direct replacements for what I'm currently using. The photo above shows the brush I used for each aspect with my regular brush on top. Products tested: Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Foundation, NARS Creamy Concealer, Wander Beauty Brow Pencil, Ciate Setting Powder, The Balm Cosmetics Hot Mama Blush, Pacifica Beauty Bronzer, Urban Decay Heat Eyeshadow Palette, and Highlighter ColourPop from their Disney Villains Hades collection. I used a flat face brush for foundation. I usually use the Urban Decay Optical Blur Brush or the Target Beauty Blender. Upon touch, I noticed that the flat face brush was a little less dense than my regular brush and therefore a little softer. I use this brush in a circular buffing motion rather than a grit technique. The same area seemed to take more product than the UD brush and the finish was a little more translucent and natural but it still covered well and looked great so no major complaints. Then I did the eyebrows, which as mentioned above is a pencil. I usually just use a roller of brow pencil, but I wanted to test everything I could so I used an eyelash brush. It was much larger and softer than the spool and blended my brow pencil much better than the spool that came with it. 10/10 will use again for this purpose. I then used a classic eyeshadow brush to apply the base color all over my eye. I usually use ipsy's Farrah brush for this, or the flat side of the double-ended UD eyeshadow brush that comes with my palette. It was very soft and distributed the color evenly with no blemishes. I also didn't notice a ton of fallout or excess pigment to shake off the brush before use. I then used the Angled Detail Brush to color in the creases. Again, this is usually the flat side of my UD brush or a random Farrah brush. I was expecting how cheap they are that the color wouldn't match well or that the brush itself would eat up all the color and not get it in my eyes so I accidentally applied too much and it was a little darker. than i wanted. The eyeshadow brushes have definitely exceeded my expectations so far. I used what is called the concealer brush as a more precise brush to apply color along the upper and lower lash line. It's a fairly matte and dark color so any streaking was noticed fairly quickly. I had to do two passes to remove streaks etc, although I'm wondering if this is partly because I was using the brush for something other than what it was recommended, or if I was hesitant to use as much paint as I did to use could due to my previous excess on the fold. I used the Blender brush without anything on it to blend out my crease fiasco from the previous one and add a transition color that I usually do with the Blend side of the UD brush or, yes you guessed it, the Farrah brush of my Ipsy use purse. It worked incredibly. This brush is way better than my Farrah brush and will become my everyday brush. I used the Mini Flame Concealer Brush to really sculpt my eyes and give them sharp lines. I was pleasantly surprised at how well it glides and that it doesn't try to rotate outwards and lose those sharp and even lines like my current brush. However, it was completely useless for blending my concealer. Again, I'm not sure if it was user error or what. Came with a multipurpose brush to insert partly to use as many brushes as possible and partly because I just wanted to try and understand what it is for because in my 20+ years I have never used it to mine to make your own. make up, hang up. It worked decently, but I'm in no rush to replace my Vasanti Concealer Buffer and Farah Concealer Brush with this combo. I then used a flat beveled brush to place under the eyes, which is usually a Moda Buffer Brush. There isn't much difference in performance between the two and it was cheaper so I probably wouldn't have had any doubts about switching. They appear to be the same in softness and density. I then used a powder brush to apply setting powder all over my face. I use polishing movements. I usually use the Farah 50F brush for this. This powder brush is very soft and fluffy, but my sensitive skin didn't like buffing it and it was definitely a bit rougher than my Farah. I see myself using it, but I'm not sure I'll give up my OG. I used an angled brush to contour my cheekbones and forehead with bronzer. It worked great and I got very clean and nice lines. I wish the color rendering was a little better, but that could also be a product issue as I usually use a different bronzer. I would definitely use it again. I used a tapered blush brush because I didn't have a blush brush in this set and wanted to use as many brushes as possible. I usually use a blush brush from Elf Cosmetics for this. I got a great color result, although due to the smaller brush size, I had to work a little more to spread the product. I can test this brush with other features, including the suggested concealer polish, although it seems a bit big for that. I actually got a great result, it just took a little longer due to the smaller size, which again is a user issue, not a brush issue. I bet the conical brush I used for the blush would be perfect for this. I do want to point out that unless I'm using an Elf concealer brush, I usually use my fingers with this particular highlighter because it has a rather creamy, powdery consistency that doesn't blend well with a fan brush. impressed brushes. They are exceptionally soft and fluffy, I have NO gradients from my eyeshadow and the bristles don't fall out or stick to my face like I often see with budget brushes. The only major downside and the reason I can't give a full 5 stars is that there is a very strong chemical odor upon opening which takes a while to dissipate. I would definitely buy them again and would be curious to try other products from this brand.
