Bought a size 10 for an 8 year old who wears a few 8s but mostly 10s. The daughter barely held back her skirt lest it fall straight to the floor. I (mom) tried on the skirt for comparison and it fit well (like women's size 8). I'm 5ft 10", 150lbs and the skirt sits just below my knees. The material is comfortable and looks good but seems to snag easily. I will buy a smaller size for my daughter as I think the skirt is versatile (can be easily pulled on or unbuttoned) and cute.
