Attractive teacups - sometimes too hot

I received these teacups today, bought to serve as my first set of teacups when I run out of cups. None of the cups were damaged. They came in a small cardboard box, with the cups separated by cardboard dividers. The lack of cushioning seems sloppy, but as I said there was no damage so my fears have not been confirmed. The white mugs themselves are very attractive and minimalist, and the company name gracefully adorns the bottom. The curved cup makes drinking a bit difficult compared to a flat walled cup, but I think the beautiful design is worth sacrificing a bit of ergonomics. I made several batches of pu-erh tea to test the cups. I brew pu-erh at a high temperature (100°C) and right after filling the cup I noticed that it gets very hot and painful to hold. It cooled along with the tea and could be held in about two minutes. I suppose with other teas that I brew at lower temperatures this won't be much of a problem. In general I am satisfied with this product. For a very reasonable price you get an attractive and sufficient set of simple tea cups. Most of my concerns are small things - possibly inadequate packaging, potentially disruptive ergonomics and heat retention - so I've deducted a star. But for my purposes they are perfect.
