This straightener is nothing short of the TRUTH! I've tried straightening my hair without ripping or ripping it out and personally on my 4c hair it works better if you straighten the hair first with a blow dryer and ALWAYS use a heat protectant, but this is a REALLY AMAZING straightener. for ethnic hair!
