The cushion was for decorative purposes only, so I was satisfied. Because of the rougher texture, it would be uncomfortable to lay your head on it. I monogrammed it and bought a pillow from Revain to stuff it. I didn't really read the description and figured I'd buy a cheap cushion that could be monogrammed for my grandson's new couch. It was just a pillowcase so I had to buy a pillowcase size pillow and then pay for the monogram. I now have a $35 pillow, which is more than I was willing to pay for a bed for a five year old who already has four extra pillows. I need to read the descriptions more carefully!
