Review on ๐Ÿ“ฑ JSAUX Micro USB Charger Cable (3-Pack) - Green Nylon Braided Cord for Samsung Galaxy S6 S7 Edge Note 5 & More by James Vachon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

They are alright. on cables and connections

I would even say they are double star cables but at least they work and look good. The thing is, if I had a great need for micro USB cables like this, I'd probably throw them in the trash and keep looking. I have had other cables from this "brand" JSAUX, and yes. I don't think I will buy from them again. So what is she doing on average? Ha ha. Oh. Two things. I think the fabric is of average quality. It's not the best I've ever used, but it's not the worst either. Overall the cable feels stiff and I noticed that with these braided cables and the quality of material used. I find it easier to find these higher quality cables when looking at USB-C cables, but it's harder to find older connectors like micro-USB. It's just that the braid isn't as flexible or soft, so the cable is stiff and uncomfortable. If you compare it to a cable from a company like Uni, it's just a big difference. The second part of this cable is the connector design. Part of the marketing is that it has a 10,000+ bend lifespan and, oh look, compared to those apple-shaped cables, you won't strip your cable. Oh! so good! But uh. It's two inches of stiffness that sticks out from whatever you plug it into. People post pictures of a bent micro USB connector and as soon as I get my hands on them I'm like yeah yeah I can definitely see it happening. Of course, you're not stressing the cable, but most of the connector itself shifts that stress to the micro-USB connector. The whole plug is just so bulky. Aside from my issues with the cable's stiffness and bulky plug, there is nothing that sets it apart or ranks it higher than a 3 star product. Many of these products, made by brands almost as famous as this one, have more style than substance. I swear all cables are made in the same factory and it only says their name on them. There are better cables out there. Those that have a compact, durable plug and a flexible but durable cable. Where the nylon braid feels soft and supple. This is not the cable or any other cable I have tried from this "brand". However, they work for their main purpose as USB cables. I think if you have a more static application that you need a good looking cable for, that's fine and looks good. However, if you plan to use them with whatever device you're going to be working with, I guess I'd keep looking. As for me, I used it with a PS4 controller tethered to my computer and didn't like them. I went back to the cable I had before. It doesn't look that pretty, but in real conditions it's gotten a lot better.

Pros
  • Compatibility list
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than others
