I've been moving toward this group of finishes; polymerizing oils. I started this journey with a diluted poly in the form of Danish Oil, which worked reasonably well but left me with all the effort for a more natural look. I have used 0smo and still use a single layer two piece alternative for countertops and items that get heavier use (the one I use for this was designed for floors and is quite expensive. I found this alternative recently and used it. It worked well on Walnut, Ash, Maple, and Purple Heart. It's so easy to get it right, and it works well with my sporadic workflow and over a wide range of temperatures with little change in time finish. I ended up polishing what with beeswax and walnut oil gives them a nice shine. Walrus makes his own which I'll be testing now and will update there if I get a chance to see results over time. This is a great finish in the curing oil category and well worth the price (take the a big one, after you use it you will want more).
