You get a lot for the money but upon closer inspection I couldn't tell it was leather, it's VERY durable and under a microscope the texture looked suspicious to me, like a bit of leather a composite. So I could be wrong about the composition, but its flexibility is an issue, especially if you want to use it for bolo ties. I had to bend it for quite a while until it flexed a bit, but I also bought the same size bolo cord elsewhere, it's definitely higher quality leather and more flexible. But it looks beautiful. Tight braid, neatly varnished. Smells a bit like shoe leather but could be paint. this product because I was not entirely satisfied and it was appreciated. I don't need a refund They also stressed that this product is actually LEATHER. However, my rating of the product remained the same, mainly because it was fairly stiff for use with Bolo, even after severe chord bending.
