Review on Cedar Space Aromatic Red Cedar Blocks for Clothes Storage - 100% Natural Cedar Planks & Accessories, Set of 16 Pcs by Dee Holt

I took a chance on buying this cedar set after trying the cheaper set first. The other set had the same, if not identical, quantity and cost about half that at the time, around 12.99. I used to only use lavender sachets, I wasn't sure how scented the product should be and with a distinct but rather mild scent of cedarwood I thought they would do and started using them around the house in laundry areas and in to distribute around drafty areas. . Cedar seemed to have some but not complete moth repellency (and in my case I was hoping it would work on other bugs too) so I ordered more cedar items. In the second round I chose this product due to the faster delivery date due to an overwhelming fear of creepy crawlies. At the time of purchase, this set cost about $24.99. The product arrived quickly but at first I was disappointed because the product packaging (not the shipping box) was in poor condition. However, as I started discharging it, it became clear that this cedar set had a much stronger cedar flavor. To be clear, this wasn't an unpleasant or artificial smell, and as someone who suffers from migraines, which are often triggered by strong smells, it didn't bother me at all (usually only artificial scents bother me like air fresheners, candles, some perfumes etc.) d. .). Apparently my initial fears that a flattened/inferior box would mean a lower quality product were unfounded. Considering I now had twice as much cedar, the addition of this product seemed to make a difference, and I noticed a greater reduction in (at least visible *waves*) bugs in my house. Overall, I'm happy with the price and think the product deserves a small premium. I bought this set a few months ago and even now it still smells like cedar when I open the closet I used these blocks in as opposed to the small closet where I used another product (and more) used, in which the aroma is almost imperceptible. One final note if you are considering this purchase in comparison to other products. Other cedar reviewers have suggested using cedarwood essential oil to "spice up" the woodsy scent rather than occasionally sanding the blocks. . At first I resisted this idea and found that the blocks should be scented in such a way that grinding did not require the addition of oil. Now at over 100 I can see that the oil is very attractive for grinding just in terms of serviceability so I bought a couple (2 small bottles) for about $10 not long ago. Before purchasing I felt that the stronger scent and longer shelf life really justified this product compared to the cheaper, less perfumed alternative. In hindsight, if you had to buy a maintenance oil anyway, it might be easier to just buy a cheaper set and "freshen up" the smell to get more effect. I can't independently test the effectiveness of this strategy, but if I had to repeat it, I would at least try it first. Hope this review helps others!
