Uncomfortable and making me hot/sweaty

Terrible and uncomfortable week of sleep until we realized it was making my husband and I sweat. We have a brand new setup; the mattress, the cooling pad, that pad and the sheets, that's why it took so long to pinpoint this as the culprit for our uncomfortable sleep. We took it off last night and slept much better and no night sweats! It is not breathable at all and retains heat, making a cooling mattress topper pointless. It's noisy too.
