This is my second pair of climbing shoes. I don't have much climbing experience but I know how uncomfortable new climbing shoes are, my first shoes were too tight but I forced myself to climb in them anyway because most 'experienced climbers' said they should be tight. I personally think you must be misleading yourself. Your shoes should be tight, but if they hurt and hurt, then most likely you will say that this is not the sport I like. So when you buy these shoes, ALWAYS buy half a size bigger! If you're afraid of toe pain and too tight a fit, but size up! I have little experience with climbing shoes, so I bought half a size larger. They fit perfectly! (I wear 8.5 outdoor shoes, I bought 9) but honestly, for first-time inexperienced buyers, buy 1 size up, if you like sports, you will get used to the tightness. I hope this review helps and remember to trim your toenails as it will help relieve tension.
