I'm looking again at my previous review because with very good technical support from Global Tech we plugged the dongle into a different port on my laptop and that seems to have fixed the connection quality issues I was having when the device was not connected. He also advised me to pair the device with my phone so it works with both my laptop and my phone. Now it works great. However, I am very disappointed with the performance of the product. Basically, you cannot disconnect the headset from the charging cable and keep the voice or sound quality. Calling this device "wireless" is a joke. I need to be able to leave my desk and call clients at the same time. This block makes it impossible. As soon as you disconnect the cable from the charging process, the connection quality immediately deteriorates, even without leaving the laptop. Forget going down the hall to the kitchen for a cup of coffee, it's not that far away. My Logitech (item no longer available) managed this without any problems. I regret every day that I broke Logitech and have to live with this crappy device as a "spare". Especially considering the amount of money! I should have just bought a cheap "wired" device instead of this supposedly wireless one. wah!
