I had a new sit/stand desk that I needed to adapt. The problem is I'm using a laptop and two monitors, three screens total, and there was no way to get this to work on the same shelf as the bottom keyboard shelf. So I needed something to elevate the monitors high enough for the laptop to stand in front of without blocking the view, but not rectangular. I needed room in the center for my laptop, so the rounded edges were perfect here. Assembly is ok, I'm just not a fan of wobbly legs when extended. Lots of fluctuations in the lower parts that come loose. So I get more movement than I want when I press the motor button to raise or lower everything. But everything else is perfect. The shape was just right for my needs, so the rounded edges give me enough room for my laptop to fit completely on a shelf between monitors, while still holding it high enough for the entire screen to be clearly visible. They are fingerprint magnets. and I'm sure the dust will show up soon too, but they look really good. They even include some small rubber washers for the bottom to help with any slips. A great set for the pair price. I've uploaded two photos, one with the laptop open and one without, to better show their shape when placed this way, giving you all the space between the monitors that a regular stand doesn't allow.
