I ordered a set of 10 and was shocked to find that when I opened the box there were 10 more boxes inside. no scratch that it was 20 boxes The kit is sold as a kit but actually they send you light blocks that are sold by the piece. Each is packed in a brown cardboard box with elegant and colorful retail packaging. This means you will receive two boxes for each piece you receive. Why it isn't just sold as one big set is beyond me. It's a lot of waste and a hassle to clean up. Parts of the connector were also missing, I have a few left but there are two in each box, one short and one long. I think the short ones are for adding support and the longer ones for sending a signal. If you don't use a longer plug, they won't light up. I couldn't get the app to connect to the device or my WiFi. Right now I'm using a preset that I find relaxing and that suits my office's aesthetic. I doubt if the application actually does anything or if it's finished. It is poorly translated from Chinese to English, which also carries over to the instructions. There are some confusing ideas in the setup guide. They're cheap, maybe one day they'll work as intended, but for now I'm enjoying them. I've ordered a second review kit and can change it in case it's my base unit or something that breaks down. Will be updated if yes. BUT TOO MUCH PACKAGING! It's nonsense how many boxes they use. I ordered a second set thinking the problem might be with my plug. It is not. The real issue is that the device needs to connect to a 2.4GHz WiFi signal. If you have a 5.0 or pair signal it doesn't know what to do and won't connect to the app. I manually configured my router to have different names with 2.4Ghz and 5.0Ghz and found that my router had a lot of issues and it also meant that I was losing the WiFi signal that I only use for used the lighting had to switch. The application itself is very poorly designed. You have to show the application how everything is connected manually. You create a template then you have to show which tabs you use in which direction which is really hard to remember if you are like me and how you would style the template if you put it on the wall. From there, you can use the app to customize each tile and the colors on it. It's an incredibly tedious task that's not fun at all, which is one of the reasons you just have to work with presets. I had no music function at all, which was a shame. The technology that powers the blocks appears to be primarily associated with a cable connector that connects to the blocks and powers them. Hopefully in the future they will release an improved connector/power supply with a built in microphone for music settings, more presets and 5.0GHz Wi-Fi signal connectivity.
