Difference between day and night, for the better. I was specifically looking for this type of training wheel as I did not have much experience with one size training wheels. My 7 year old son had a very tough time learning to ride a bike with multi hole universal training wheels but his twin sister had no problem with their wheels which are exactly the same as this product. What makes them better for my son: thicker metal, doesn't flex like others, they fit the size of his bike (20" in our case), the wheels stick out a little more than the others, the horizontal part of the metal is a little higher than the bottom, which gives more stability with its thicker metal. My boy noticed right away that he didn't have the fancy accent color on the wheels, but he completely forgot about it after skimming the huge parking lot. It will be of great help when my son learns to ride a bike. Very very happy with these well made training wheels. PS The wheels need to be mounted on the jockey wheel mount like the others. Nut and bolt are 1/2 inch (wrench or socket). On your child's bike, the nuts on the outside of the rear axle will need to be temporarily removed and then replaced. However, I have no way of knowing what size nuts will be on your child's bike. hope this helps you
