I bought a used car that only had 1 flip key. I used this cable to program two additional flip key/transponders on my 2012 Mazda 3 using the PAT service module on Forscan (Windows). I followed the instructions I found on a Mazda forum and saved myself hundreds of dollars programming the keys myself after buying cheap replacement keys off eBay and having a locksmith cut them. Aside from Mazda, this tool should have the same capability with post 1996 Ford vehicles with remote control keys. Good quality product. The only downside is that the HS/MS switch is unlabeled, but mine was assembled correctly and worked as directed in the instructions that came with it, with the HS side being the most medial and the MS side being the lateral.
