I have used other cat scratching tapes in the past and they are very effective. What I like about it is the width. It's super wide. I just put it where my cat usually itches and it stops itching. Of course, if he's sitting on the seat, I have to take it off when the guests arrive. If it's a place we usually use, it's a bit difficult. However, it tends to scratch seats that we don't use often. The only downside to this tape is that it's a bit difficult to remove. My other cassette is notched down the middle, but I take it sideways.
