I actually bought these to store nuts and bolts but they are MUCH large for what I need to store. I wanted to return them if I needed to keep something in the pantry. Everything I had on hand was either too big or too small. And they fold up nicely if you have the space. Anyway, now I mainly use them for storing noodles and tea bags. I know they are not the same. I label them. This is my compulsion. But you can see exactly what's inside and they seal well. I had several baby food sized jars that I now use for nuts and bolts that I use for groceries. When they arrived there was a faint smell of oil. They're made of plastic. But I washed them well and everything went away. As far as I can tell they are better than Rubbermaid and Tupperware. Continuous. Very satisfied.
