Oh my god we can't live without them anymore. First, they're fun because they light up and show you exactly how much you're putting in your food. Love the volume they crank up for big pots in the kitchen. I have a husband who loves electronics so he enjoys using them. So far they make a robust impression and we like them. They look good and I keep them next to the hob for easy portability. The only thing that stinks is that when they fall, they run and throw something on your countertop. You can adjust the coarseness by turning it, so it's pretty easy. What I don't like is the battery drain. That's a lot of batteries for a shaker or coffee grinder! In fact, I've had to change the batteries in it before, and we haven't had it all that long. Granted, these are rechargeable batteries and I know they don't last as long as regular batteries, but if usage life is any indication, you probably want to charge them. In general I like them, with one exception.
