Several people I know have recently been hit by cars - while cycling, walking or running - because the drivers just "didn't see" them . So I wanted to make myself as visible as possible. The vest is bright and highly reflective, and the LED strips are eye-catching but not distracting. It is also very easy to put on and take off thanks to the Velcro on the sides. As the description says it's a one size fits all which means it's difficult to wear over a winter coat (I'm a medium sized guy) so be aware it runs a bit small.
