Music heaven on earth!

If you have any doubts about buying this pup, argue no more. He's worth every penny. I researched this device thoroughly before deciding to buy it from Revain. They delivered the product in a brand new unopened box with all accessories and manual in a short time. It was the first time I was asked to install it. I'm what you would call an electronic amateur. I have a sophisticated home theater/sound system. at home, which includes ceiling speakers, a 4 control system, receivers and all kinds of devices in between. I took a deep breath and read the manual. Please do this before connecting even one wire. You will be grateful you did. I started by downloading the slimdevices.com compression center. and created an account. then i plugged the compression into my receiver (rca, i didn't buy a second place for the coax, but the sound was still great). Then I plugged in my ethernet cable, having used the switch as the only cable I had to go to control 4 (home control with a remote control for everything in the house from audio/video to lights, thermostat, cameras to to blinds, security cameras, etc.). The input on my Yamaha rgr receiver that I chose was a CD. I'm glad I did, the sound was great. After all the connections were made, I plugged the Squeezebox's cord into a power outlet. Now comes the configuration. I followed the manual instructions which were very easy. The compression box detected my wireless network and it asked me for a password. now everything is in order. So, using squidbox online with my wireless network, I specified which computer I would use to manage it (since I don't have many at home like most of you). Once the computer's source was specified, it automatically found my music library and I was able to play it right away through my ceiling speakers. wow wow wow The sound is crisp, CD quality. then i went to play with squeezcenter, very simple interface. go to player, select live365.com and click preset stations, you will find the stations you preset before and start playing them immediately. To listen to "vip" you need to subscribe, the cost is about $71 a year, or 124/2 years. I found it acceptable to pay this small amount and get access to all kinds of music from all over the world. Now I enjoy the music from online radio stations from all over the world; French, Mediterranean, Hip/Hop, Caribbean, Russian, African, whatever, no borders. Didn't really use the remote except to turn this unit on and set it up, everything can later be controlled from your computer screen (as easy as a caveman). The entire setup took about 20-25 minutes. and i liked it, everything went fine and it was a great experience for me, i hope my long review has not lulled you to sleep and that it will help you to set up Squeezebox. Enjoy music without interruption.
