I give this product 4 stars because it really is the only cake pan I could find that made half a cake. As a single girl, I only want to be able to bake half a cake, not a whole one that I either have to eat or throw away. This is really the only half cake pan I could find (maybe I'll make it up myself). So I'm giving it four stars for giving me the option of making half a cake or if anyone wants to make two different types of cakes in the same pan, this is the way to go. The reason I don't give it five stars is simply because the middle section (either a regular pie crust or a crust with a divider) is removable. Because of this, 2 problems arise that I found. First, if you have anything runny or runny, it may ooze out of the cake pan. Second, the detachable part moves, which can spoil the cake a bit. And DO NOT hold the bottom of the pan or the piece will rise. If there was a pie pan with a permanent divider or literally a pie pan that was only half a pie pan, I would choose that. Since those two things don't exist (which I know) this will satisfy my need. It just needs to be treated with care, that's all.
