My husband ordered these for a trip to Oregon. He decided he needed something waterproof but good for walking and hiking. We also went to Mount Hood to play in the snow (about 6 inches). He was the only one in our group who kept his feet dry, so they're definitely working! said they were quite comfortable and he had some problems with his feet. He ordered his normal size and they fit well. Also worked well on wet slippery paths along the coast and such.
