Review on LOGITECH G G815 Lightspeed Tactile Carbon: Ultimate Gaming Peripherals for Enhanced Gaming Experience by Makoto Maeda ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Not a bad purchase, worth the money.

I compare it with the g810, which this keyboard came to replace under warranty. I didn’t immediately get used to the layout - here the hands lie differently and the rows of keys, in my opinion, are a little different width, but in general I like it. Expensive, of course, so only not 5 but 4 stars. But there aren't many low-profile mechanical alternatives on the market yet, although other models are already emerging.

Pros
  • - thin! put next to the g810 it looks radically thinner. Very unusual sensations from the mechanics of such a height. - quiet! typing is noticeably quieter than on the 810, which is already not as loud as other switches. - several memory presets, including the ability to save your profile to the device's memory (which was so lacking before, so as not to see the default rainbow when loading or not to launch the buggy G HUB once again). - the clarity and pressing force are optimal for me, although I still did not feel the other switches from this series with my hands. - not branded. That keycaps, that the body itself is much less covered with dust and covered with dust, in a week I already looked dusty, and here for a month I didn’t even blow off the dust.
Cons
  • - there is no backlighting of 2022 characters on my keyboard, only the English row is lit. - the keyboard case is not perfectly even, but in the form of an "arc", it bends in the center. I read on reddit that I'm not the only one and at least a few people have encountered this and even wrote to logitech, where they were answered "as intended!". But it looks strange, the middle legs do not touch the table. True, there is no practical inconvenience in this case, the keyboard stands firmly on the side legs, does not drive around the table and it is convenient to type text. - a thick wire (apparently because of the usb hub), it bends with difficulty. - proprietary G HUB software is also far from ideal, although this is a common sore of Logitech.

Has pros: Beautiful design, nice click, convenient software, multimedia control buttons. Has cons: There is a double pressing of the W key after half a year
