My 11 year old cat suddenly decided that the woolen blankets she had around her all life would come in handy for scratching! I didn't even notice the tufts at first because it was so unexpected. So I bought this scratching post to put on one of her spots and lo and behold she loves it, loves even to lay on it. Two more were bought from her with the same acceptance. Attractive, reasonably priced, not too easy for bare feet but worth it. Easy-care.
