The quality of this kit is top notch. While knowing that every component is compatible is a huge benefit, each part individually is outstanding. The rug unfolds and lies flat without having to leave it under a small library of books. The common ground wire fits snugly into the socket on the mat. The kit comes with all the parts needed for proper operation. The only downside I found is that the ribbon doesn't match the color of the cords (I have both cords are black, different from the picture) or matte.
