After using this device for over a year, I have updated my review: Everything is fine. However, there are some serious problems: 1. It consists almost entirely of plastic. A few months ago I accidentally dropped the counterweight and it (the plastic holding it) broke into 5 pieces. The plastic parts of the rails also don't stick well to the metal rails - often this causes the rail to "spin" when attempting to use the rig. Forget about using shoulder grips with no modifications so they don't "rotate".2. The matte box is light but very thin. The rod connection is metal, but it's REALLY thin metal, and when you move the rig the matte box wobbles back and forth, which is not only annoying but screams cheap.3. The included shoulder pad is a joke. I was aware of this though and actually bought the Smallrig shoulder pad that came with this outfit. The shoulder pad is plastic over foam, with little to no indentation at the shoulder. Also, at the top it says "FILM CITY" in the "Comic Sans" font, which just screams cheap. Comics sans, right? Overall I would rate this system 2/5 stars. You really do get what you pay for with this setup. Better save some extra money and invest in Fotga hardware like the DP500iii system I upgraded to.
