As an aspiring photographer and filmmaker I have learned the importance of lighting. It can make or destroy an image. Convey mood, tone, style and intent. However, as someone with only a meager micro-budget at any given time, finding a good way to facilitate their projects was a challenge. And thankfully, this LimoStudio lighting kit is a great purchase for people like me. For around $40-$50, this set includes three lanterns, three lightbulbs, two white umbrellas, and a tote bag. And for the price, this is a fantastic set. Easily comparable to a more expensive lighting set. The lamps and coasters are of very good quality and the umbrellas are very useful. One of the coasters is smaller but still quite handy and I've used it as a backlight in my kit experiments so far. The kit's only downside is that the bulbs that come with it are pretty dim (45w, although the kit can safely use the much brighter 120w) which means you'll need to get your lights close enough to your subject or be prepared to do so to compensate with your camera settings. . So it's best to buy brighter bulbs when buying a set. However you are not actually buying this set for the bulbs but for the kit itself so I can't refuse as it comes with dim bulbs. Overall I am very happy with this set. For the price, it's definitely worth buying. To be honest, I'm considering ordering a second set in the near future.
