On USB 3 I have 395 MB/s and 316 MB/s with me speed reached. This is read out with the supplied sata. I got 510MB/s and 408MB/s when connected directly to my motherboard. The reader is right. Everything is plastic, the lid doesn't snap into place. I can see the notches it should snap into, but mine doesn't slide far enough to reach the notch. This also means that the cap is not flush at one end. It will still do its job and still look good. It feels like hollow plastic, similar to a glasses case, it makes a hollow plastic sound when tapped. It's textured plastic, so it doesn't feel as cheap as it looks. The USB cable they provide is an A-to-C USB cable, but they include an A-to-C adapter so the cable can be used as a C-to-C. It's only about 18 inches long. Overall, this is a good SSD with a case that can be used or not.
