Edit: After just a month the right earbud stopped working. There are many, many true wireless earbuds out there. What drew me to them were the features they offer: wireless charging, active noise cancellation, and Bluetooth 5.1. So how do these headphones compare to some of the cheaper offerings, and does it justify being twice the price of some of them? In terms of price, these headphones can be described as cheap. Comparable to mid-range brands like Anker and MPow, and significantly cheaper than Bose and Jabra brands. However, many of them only cost half as much. Looking at the price, let's look at the advantages of these headphones: + Long battery life - I've been listening to an audio book for four hours and the battery still shows charge. 50% on my phone. + Battery status report to phone - I'm sure most newer Bluetooth headphones do this now, but it's still nice. + Type-C connector for charging - Switched to Type - c as the standard charging connector is emerging for all devices, and I'm glad NANNIO didn't save money and use Micro-USB. One less cable to worry about.+ No app required - Pass-Through and ANC can be activated with a double-tap on the touch controls. + Google Assistant support - Triple tap to launch Google Assistant. In my opinion, the teardrop shape of these earbuds looks a lot better than the ugly sticks found in Apple products. + Smooth transition between left, right and stereo mode. Headphones by leaving the other in the charger without having to connect the other item separately. I use this on long trips. I keep an earbud in my ear to listen to an audiobook and turn it off when the battery runs out. The Bad: - Not a low profile - The Anker SoundCores are fairly inconspicuous in the ear, but these NANNIOs, which are white and stick out, are nothing but a low profile. - ANC is not very efficient. The ANC levels on these headphones are set fairly minimal, so while you can hear the difference between turning the feature on and off, it's also noticeable that only the faintest sounds are canceled. Headphones just aren't made for ANC. The eartips just don't fit the ear canal perfectly, and as the jaw moves, the fit shifts. Due to this fact, there is always sound leakage, which reduces the effectiveness of any ANC system. With headphones, ANC is really just a gimmick. - The pass-through channel must have wind noise reduction. The pass-through channel is needed, in my opinion, to be able to hear ambient noise when wearing headphones while running. It uses the microphone on the headphones to pick up external noise, but there's always wind noise when running. Without wind noise reduction, this feature becomes useless. I don't know of any headphones that solve this problem. Why did I still give these headphones 5 stars? Because the price perfectly matches what it is and what it promises. It has more features and quality that makes it better than $30 headphones, but it's not a brand that can cost more than $100. Promised features are delivered and any flaws are expected as outlined above. With these buds I get
