I bought size XL which fits my 41" hips well but not my 34DD or 31" waist. It was huge at the top. L might fit me, but I think unless you want a really tight outfit, it might be best for someone with an hourglass shape, and don't buy too big. i will return it However, the design was really cute and the concept was great. I'm 5ft 7in and it barely covers my butt. It has quite long strings but overall I think it's an interesting idea but not for me. I might try this company's regular SUV shirts if they have any because I think their patterns are unique and the material is like a decent weight swim fabric.
