Review on Mount Universal Clamping Bookshelf Mounting by John Hall

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Maybe 3 stars is too harsh

Let's start with the good. They are well made and hold the speakers well. I don't worry about placing my 5.25" bookshelf speakers on these wall mounts. The metal makes a decent impression and each screw can be tightened well. Everything is fine here. My biggest complaint, and it's really annoying, is the ability (or lack thereof) to hide the speaker wire in the wall when it comes out of the drywall. Basically, the bolt holes line up directly with the back of the rectangular "pipe holder". As a result, you have to make that wobbly cut in the drywall to get the speaker wire into the bracket. It's really annoying. Aside from the above issue, I like these mounts. Will consider other options if I buy something like this again. *** My Rating Criteria ** *Build quality (47.5%) - 4.0 stars.
