I bought the set as a Christmas present for my niece and nephew (3 and 5 years old). They loved her and immediately started making rainbow art. The great thing is that the skill level of the child really doesn't matter because it's fun no matter what. A younger child will be interested in drawing rainbow doodles and for an older child with more advanced drawing skills they can create amazing rainbow shapes. And if they make a "mistake" then you can't really tell - you just change the plan of the drawing! Definitely a must for kids who love to make art. They were keen to have a different medium than what they normally use (read: plain paper and colored pencils). You'll definitely get some black wrists and hands from the paper, but it washes off easily.
