This eyecup is amazing. I have poor vision in my dominant eye (right) and it hurts to focus in the viewfinder because the outside light is obscuring my vision. The eyecup blocks side light and makes it much easier to focus on points in the viewfinder. In addition, it is made of soft plastic and can be rotated in a circle to suit any eye. The only downside is that you have to tilt the eyecup slightly when looking through so as not to block about 15% of the image in the viewfinder. While it's not visible in photos, it can be a little annoying when trying to frame and compose your subject in the viewfinder if you visually miss the top. In general I like it. It helped a lot.
