My daughter was only 12 months old when I bought these boots. She had only recently walked, so I needed something light that wouldn't interfere with her walking. I also needed something waterproof for the snow so she could play with her brother. I first ordered a size 4 and had to exchange it for a size 5. My daughter is small so I would say they run small especially if you want her to wear socks. ADVANTAGES: • They are light and do not interfere. with beginner walkers. • They are very cute and very warm with fur lining all over the inside of the shoe. For this reason they would work well without socks • they are very cute yet waterproof CONS: • Difficult to put on. They have velcro which should theoretically help them find their way around more easily, but that's still an issue. There is no tongue, so they are difficult to put on. May I recommend? Yes, because my daughter can easily walk in it without complaining of bulk. I would suggest ordering a size up as they run a little small which makes them easier to put on.
