They fall off within a day. You work while you work, but you don't stay. SEE UPDATE!

Great idea, when it's appropriate it's a great idea. However, they rarely stay too long. I've used the ProDot to release the shutter on Canon 70D, 40D and Olympus OM-D systems and none of them stay in place for more than a couple of days. The glue is of poor quality in my opinion. I've tried cleaning the trigger with alcohol swabs, letting it dry, waiting a day and applying ProDots. They fall no matter what I do. When they're on, it's a really great idea, helping to make shutter releases more predictable and smooth, which of course results in sharper, clearer shots. Unfortunately, this can only happen for a day or so before the damn thing falls off and can't be reattached. As an update, I emailed Custom SLR to ask me about their product while I prepared the trigger. Exactly as stated, dots applied exactly as advertised and all (5 sets of 2) fell off within a few days of use. I will update this review if and when they reply. Support responded, and after I talked about why my Pro Dots were falling off both cameras so quickly, repeated. They sent me black Pro Dots as a replacement. They seem to be holding up much better than the red ones. I'll let you know if they survive the ubiquitous process in and out of the camera bag, which Custom SLR says is why they wear out quickly. Cameras go in and out of camera cases, for me the adhesive has to be strong enough to withstand this basic function of photography. We will see!
